Jenifer Cameron is an Elementary Art Specialist for the Fairbanks North
Star Borough School District. She is also a studio artist and works out
of her home in Ester. This is her second year creating a Wild Salmon.
This year, her creation honors the Year of the Dog in the Chinese Zodiac
(2006) and was created using paper mache, acrylic paint and various
sparkles and textures made with dog tags, sequins and plaster.

It is written in the Chinese Zodiac that the "dogs" born in this year
are best known for their popularity and are always surrounded by a
" school" of admirers. They are adventurous and vivacious and love to
travel by water. They are quite openhearted and honest and will follow
their mates anywhere, even upstream. However, because they are so
active, they are generally the "spawn til you die" type.
