Laurie Wood considers herself a “crafty ol’ sourdoughette,” having done many arts and crafts projects for family and community charity. Her design idea is based on a rebel’s quest of resistance for survival, gyrating through winding currents and making a triumphant return to complete its life cycle. Her piece is made of cut sections of copper metal with beaded, hammered textures and smooth rolled pieces.
