Theresa Heckart is an art teacher at Central Middle School of Science where she and her student artists, Kalie Burgan, Sierra Burger, Maureen Blair and Destiny Olson felt it was important to integrate the sciences into their salmon design. “Salmonberries” combines biology (the salmon itself) with botany (the study of plants). One side features the salmonberries and the other side its bloom.
