Cammie Walker is a mosaic artist who specializes in glass and tile artwork. She has created over 200 pieces of art through 2005, as well as a number of permanent installations and commissions. Artique Ltd represents her artwork. Cammie’s salmon sculpture was made with glass, baubles, beads and dichroic cabochons adhered to the mold, then grouted to seal it, making it completely weather resistant. When salmon have fulfilled their earthly obligations, before they transcend to the River Nirvana, their skin turns a multitude of colors and patterns. This condition is what folks in the fish business call “calico”.
